Sub Plans for 11/21/2021

Start Up:

Items needed for today:
Sound System and Projector will be needed

1st Hour: Symphonic Band
  • Attendance
  • Warm-Up: Set #3: Run warm-up
    • Bass drum play quarter notes, snare drum play 8th notes
  • Tune: Concert B-flat, clarinet gives tuning note
  • Sectionals:
    • Students will meet in sectionals around the room, they will set up chairs and stands in their areas. They will need to fill out a sectional worksheet. One sheet per section. They will fill out what they are working on and turn in the sheet to you at the end of class. 
    • Flutes: Storage room
    • Clarinets: in small hallway area of  Room
    • Trumpets: 208D
    • French Horns: 208B
    • Trombone/Baritone/Tuba: Cello/bass Room
    • Percussion: music room
  • Last 5 minutes of class: pack up: give 5 min warning
    • Students to work on Concert Pieces

2nd Hour: Chamber Orchestra
  • Attendance
  • Tune: use tuners, Delaney (cello) give tuning notes, Lexi (violin) gives E
  • Sectionals:
    • Students will meet in sectionals around the room, they will set up chairs and stands in their areas. They will need to fill out a sectional worksheet. One sheet per section. They will fill out what they are working on and turn in the sheet to you at the end of class. 
    • Violas: in Classroom
    • Cello/Bass: Cello/bass Room
    • Violins: 208D
    • - All 5 concert pieces
  • Last 5 minutes of class: pack up: give 5 min warning

3rd Hour: Planning Period
*Reset rows- seats, and stands

4th Hour: Concert Band: No Instruments
  • Attendance
  • Students will watch a concert band performance: see our webpage link for links
  • Students will answer questions on the handout and turn in at the end of class.

  • (if Time) Students will go onto our Google Classroom page and select their solo and fill out the Solo project Google Form for their assignment.

C Lunch: 11:57-12:30p

5th Hour: Chamber Orchestra
  • Attendance
  • Students will check tuning with their tuners.
  • Sectionals: Students will work in sectionals on their concert sheet music. 5 pieces of music
  • Violins: In classroom
  • Violas: Room 208D
  • Cellos: Cello/bass room 

6th Hour: Guitar Fundamentals: No instruments
- Students will watch various videos today for class. 

They will answer the questions on the form and turn it in at the end of class.

End of day: 
  • Reset the room
  • Pick up any papers/things left behind and set it by the bookshelf against the wall.
