About Guitar Fundamentals:
Guitar Fundamentals is a One-Year class here at Frost Middle School open to any 7th or 8th grader with little to no experience. Students are assigned a Yamaha Classical Guitar, case, footrest, guitar strap, and pick. The method book we use for the class is the Habits of a Successful Beginner Guitarist.
Our class meets everyday for 55 minutes. Students learn the foundations and technique of the guitar, learning to read notation and tab, and various styles of music. Students are expected to practice 20+ minutes a day to be successful in this class.
